There will definitely be controversy about this Hollywood “fantasy” take on the Chushingura story and I doubt it will do very well in Japan. But outside Japan, we’ll have to wait and see.

One thing I know for sure is that they didn’t have jikatabi back in medieval Japan, but we supplied lots of jikatabi and other footwear to the movie production company (Keanu Reeves wears a size 27.5cm). So if you want to look like an extra from 47 Ronin, we have the apparel to do the job!

Keanu Reeves movie “47 Ronin” got released on Christmas Day in the US. From my understanding, the movie bombed in Japan. However, in the US that is another story. Do you think it will become a box office failure in the States? If so, why? I created a new post where you can express your thoughts and opinions on this topic.
