Goro Miyazaki, Son of Legendary Anime Film Director, Plans to Start New Fall Series

Goro Miyazaki, son of legendary anime film director Hayao Miyazaki plans on starting a new television anime series in the fall.  The title of the series is “Sanzoku no Musume Ronia” based on the children’s bookRonia the the Robber’s Daughter”written by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren.

Previously he directed “Gedo Senki”(Tales from Earthsea) and “Kokuriko-zaka Kara”(From Up on Poppy Hill).  Originally, he worked as a construction consultant and environmental designer participating in designing parks, green spaces, and landscapes.

Animation film producer Toshio Suzuki is a long-time companion of his father Hayao Miyazaki that encouraged him to join Studio Ghibli, a popular Japanese anime film studio that started in the 1980s.  For more information, click on the links below and please leave your comments.
