Late British Fashion Designer Alexander McQueen Opens Flagship Store in Aoyama, Japan

Late British fashion designer Alexander McQueen opened its first flagship store in Aoyama, one of the most popular fashion districts in Tokyo.  The graceful nature of this brand has made this fashion district a good choice to open their store.  CEO Jonathan Akeroyd commented: “The environment seems a good fit for McQueen–it’s quite an open contemporary environment, which we like.”  Last year, the Roppongi rebirth saw other brands emerging from this part of Tokyo such as Jacob Cohen and Planet Blue.   For people that support his fashion style and come out to his shows, what does the future hold for this last designer in The Land of the Rising Sun?
