The Korean Film Festival will be hosted in Malaysia from August 20-23 showcasing the best in Korean films. It provides Malaysians the opportunity to explore Korean culture and develop future relationships with established professionals already working in the industry. The festival is going to feature a wide range of films from different genres.
Minister Yoon Chang Yul, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and Seo Ki Won, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Malaysia organizes the event that will take place. It will be the first film festival held in Malaysia since 2009. Ten films will be selected for screening.
These films include action/ crime thrillers The Thieves and Confession of Murder, romantic comedies Marriage Blue and All About My Wife, Korean War drama The Front Line, drama My Paparotti, comedy Man On the Edge and Duresori: The Voice of East, and finally animation films Green Days: Dinosaur And I and The King of Pigs.
Their major goal is to promote greater relationships between the two nations and provide the Malaysian community with greater exposure to experience the best that Korean cinema has to offer.
